SECC HISTORY
The Seneca East Cross Country Program has developed a reputation as one of the best programs in the state as evidenced by our program's success. Although the names and faces within the program change from year to year, the cross country teams are no stranger to success. Seneca East has a proud and storied tradition as teams and individuals have won at the highest level. The girls program has claimed 20 League Championships, 14 District Championships and 6 Regional Championships. They also have 3 State Runner-Up Finishes (1997, 2000, 2008) and a State Championship (1998). Brianna Shook was a state champion for the girls (1997 &1998) & Brittany Stockmaster was state runner-up (2008 & 2009)
The boys program boasts 15 League Championships, 9 District Championships, and 5 Regional Championships. They also have 4 State Runner-Up Finishes (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997) and 1 State Championship (2012). Individually, Vincent Fries was a state champion for the boys (1994, 1995, 1997), and he was a state runner-up (1996). All of these accomplishments also go without noting the numerous individual runner to win League, District, and Regional Championships. Throughout program history, Seneca East Cross Country has amassed over 40 individuals who have earned All-Ohio honors (earned if you place in the top 30 @ State Meet).
